We are seeking a skilled Senior Residual Analyst for a contract opportunity with significant potential for extension. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Applying a robust accounting background to address complex estimates and manage critical assumptions.
  • Ensuring adherence to essential standards such as US GAAP, SOX governance, and internal audit protocols.
  • Executing monthly and quarterly residual value processes, including the preparation of journal entries and impairment analyses.
  • Collaborating with Risk and Data Analytics teams to understand and challenge modeling results.
  • Preparing comprehensive support documentation for financial statements and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assisting the Accounting Manager in maintaining process documentation, including audit support and user guides.
  • Implementing rigorous testing for any changes in data or methodology.
  • Facilitating the external audit process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Developing standardized metrics and reporting tools to assess financial positions and validate information.
  • Streamlining processes for clarity and efficiency, particularly for non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Driving integrated process improvements in collaboration with Residual Value Risk and Accounting teams.
  • Providing support for strategic projects and participating in stakeholder communications.
  • Enhancing process efficiency through automation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrating project management capabilities while engaging with multiple stakeholders.
  • Possessing a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in SOX-compliant environments.
  • Working closely with Risk teams and executive leadership.
  • Utilizing SQL and familiarity with statistical and analytical models is preferred.
  • Engaging in quarter-end activities, including preparation for committee meetings.
  • Supporting the Accounting Manager with journal entries and compliance deliverables.
  • Having a strong foundation in US GAAP principles and a CPA designation is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAS and/or Python modeling is preferred, with a willingness to learn.
