The Opportunity:

We are seeking a qualified individual to become a member of our Technology Business Services team as a Senior Business Analyst specializing in the Charles River Development Platform. This role involves providing business and product support for order and execution management. You will collaborate with various teams including Client Guidelines and Assurance (Portfolio Compliance), Portfolio Engineering (Model Construction and Maintenance), Portfolio Implementation (Rebalancing and Order Generation), Traders (Trade Routing and Executions), and Trading Operations (Post-Trade) to facilitate daily operations. A solid understanding of the Order and Trade Lifecycle is essential. You will engage closely with the Charles River user community to identify their needs for efficiency and new functionalities, partnering with Charles River and our internal teams to design and implement necessary solutions. Reporting to the Application Development Team Lead for our Portfolio Engineering and Trading Technology Team, you will play a crucial role in our operations.

The Day-To-Day:

  • Cultivate effective communication and dialogue between internal business stakeholders, Technology Teams, and application vendors.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend their challenges and devise optimal solutions for implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between Technology and Portfolio Management Teams (Portfolio Engineering, Portfolio Implementation & Trading).
  • Take charge of configuration tuning, deployment, testing, and post-deployment support.
  • Document new requirements and adjust the application to meet user needs.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing on workflows and address any issues that arise.
  • Maintain insight and develop forward-looking plans to effectively articulate business, functional, and technical requirements in the form of user stories within the Agile/Scrum framework.
  • Create and communicate business, functional, and technical system documentation, including runbooks and supporting materials.
  • Monitor production platforms to ensure readiness and overall system health.
  • Clearly convey business, functional, and technical system requirements along with detailed solutions, diagrams, and supporting documentation.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience as a Technology Business Analyst or Product Manager supporting critical business applications within a Wealth or Investment Management Technology team.
  • At least 2 years of experience configuring and implementing Charles River Manager Work Bench or Central Work Bench workflows, layouts, and Result Sets.
  • Strong knowledge of order management concepts, workflows, and terminology to engage meaningfully with Portfolio Implementation and Trading Team members.
  • Experience in Front/Middle/Back Office roles with Order Management Systems such as Charles River (similar experiences in other Order Management and Execution Management Systems will be considered).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Equities and Fixed Income – Market Securities Data, Order Generation, and Trade Lifecycle processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Compliance workflows and Rule Writing within Order Management Systems.
  • Proficient in writing, updating, and executing SQL queries.
  • Strong grasp of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with process diagramming and project management tools.
