Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team at Centric Business Systems. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of payment transactions and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transaction Oversight: Supervise the accounts payable department and its staff, including staff training and development, and day-to-day personnel matters.
  • Payment Processing: Oversee all payment transactions, including ACH, wires, paper checks, and credit cards, and coordinate the weekly payment cycle.
  • Invoice Management: Handle data entry, validation, matching, and processing of various types of invoices, including inventory purchasing, general expenses, and employee reimbursements.
  • Vendor Management: Ensure that all invoices are properly approved by management as outlined in the company's expense authorization policy, and answer vendor inquiries and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Track vendor activity in the system and file 1099 tax forms annually.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure that AP systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
  • Leadership Skills: Previous oversight of full cycle Accounts Payable function required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with an ERP AP system required.
  • Software Experience: Implementation experience with payables-related software (such as Laserfiche) preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance-related field a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods at times.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to work with various computer tools and applications.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to type and compose written communication in various forms.
