Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Morgan Corporation. This role is essential in providing administrative support for our construction projects, ensuring smooth operations within the project management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing construction services for new projects across various market sectors.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination of contract document requirements with company staff and subcontractors.
  • Support the Project Management Department by organizing preconstruction meetings, processing RFIs, managing project submittals, and tracking change orders and payment applications.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare purchase orders, and manage subcontracts.
  • Review and authorize invoices from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, and minutes as required.
  • Handle 811 notifications and updates.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Division Manager or Project Management Department.
  • Collaborate with the Estimate Lead and Chief Estimator on various pursuits, including document control and bid folder management.
  • Engage with bid teams to solicit subcontractors and vendors, ensuring proper documentation and correspondence tracking.
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-qualifications and proposals, including document creation and content gathering from relevant departments.
  • Coordinate with the Estimating and Contract Administration teams to manage bid bonds and certificates of insurance.
  • Support quantity take-offs as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication between Estimate teams and Operations teams during project hand-offs, including budget support and RFI log management.

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in project administration, preferably within the construction or heavy equipment sector.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with email and intranet systems.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in various environmental conditions. Candidates must be able to perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and other physical tasks.
