Position Summary

The Field Manager is essential in supervising and managing on-site construction operations to guarantee that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within the designated budget and timeline. The Field Manager collaborates closely with Operations leaders, sales personnel, estimators, administrative staff, customer representatives, and various crew team leaders. This role involves interfacing with customer staff, including foremen, to ensure that the site is adequately prepared for the implementation of erosion control measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update construction schedules, ensuring effective communication with crew leaders and office personnel.
  • Conduct regular meetings with crew leaders and team members to reinforce company practices, including safety protocols and proper documentation procedures.
  • Oversee the accurate completion of time sheets by crew members to document daily work hours.
  • Ensure that job worksheets are filled out correctly, providing all necessary information for invoicing and payroll. The Field Manager is responsible for correcting any discrepancies and training field staff to prevent future errors.
  • Coordinate company work with clients, including municipal authorities, in alignment with prior communications from the management team.
  • Prepare job site logistics, including conducting field inspections before crew arrival. If the site is unprepared, the Field Manager must communicate necessary actions to the customer and redirect the crew as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Review equipment status for each crew, identifying maintenance needs and collaborating with the Operations leadership team to ensure timely repairs.
  • Support the development of crew leaders to cultivate future Field Managers.
  • Lead by example, providing crew leaders with opportunities to contribute to the company's success and profitability.
