Position: Construction Manager – Mechanical
This role involves overseeing and managing all aspects of industrial construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and engineers to facilitate informed decision-making for the project team.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with contract documents and adherence to engineering best practices throughout the construction process.
- Establish and maintain project financial controls, including budget tracking and change order management.
- Coordinate project schedules, staffing requirements, invoicing, and submissions while providing regular updates on project status.
- Lead and inspire subcontractors and team members in executing work plans and managing site operations.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to address and resolve issues related to construction methods and design challenges.

Applicants should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial construction, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. Attention to detail is crucial. Experience with manufacturing clients across diverse environments is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications, identifying any inconsistencies or conflicts. Familiarity with civil/site work (including concrete, steel, building envelope, MEP, etc.) is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. A commitment to contributing positively to a collaborative work culture is vital, along with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Supervisory DutiesThis position entails overseeing the activities of general contractors on-site and managing performance outcomes related to the project.
Work EnvironmentThe role requires frequent site inspections, with exposure to ongoing construction activities and varying weather conditions. Noise levels may range from moderate to loud.
Physical RequirementsWhile performing job duties, the employee will regularly need to sit, communicate, and listen. Frequent use of hands for handling tasks is necessary, along with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color differentiation.
Position Type and Work HoursThis is a full-time role, with hours varying by project requirements. Flexibility may be possible, but extended hours may be necessary.
