POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Estimator for our expanding landscaping firm, where you will be a key player in our mission to deliver exceptional quality and service. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our esteemed reputation within the community and supporting our growth initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimation & Financial Planning:
- Oversee the creation of both conceptual and detailed cost estimates for a variety of landscape construction projects, including hardscapes and irrigation systems.
- Utilize historical cost data to refine estimates and ensure accuracy throughout the bidding process.
- Thoroughly review project documentation to guarantee completeness and precision in all estimates.
- Employ advanced project management tools to generate accurate takeoffs and comprehensive cost assessments.
Preconstruction Strategy:
- Manage the entire bidding process for landscape projects, ensuring a thorough approach to preconstruction activities.
- Participate in client meetings and site evaluations to document conditions that will inform project planning.
- Formulate and execute a detailed preconstruction strategy, coordinating timelines, material needs, labor requirements, and equipment logistics.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent the organization professionally in interactions with contractors, clients, architects, and suppliers.
- Provide expert advice on project feasibility and cost-saving measures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to secure favorable pricing and terms for project materials and services.
- Oversee procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of materials and services while managing any arising issues.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all estimates are precise and comprehensive, actively managing project risks to maintain budgetary constraints.
- Monitor design processes to prevent cost overruns and ensure adherence to initial estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of bids and project changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Development:
- Utilize data insights to enhance estimation processes and improve project planning efficiency.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to uphold our leadership in landscape construction.

- Proficiency with project management software; experience with Aspire ERP is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Thorough understanding of landscape installation, hardscapes, and irrigation systems.
