Job Title: Business Development Specialist

At Collaborative Neuroscience Network LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for recruiting new and returning patients to our Ocean View Adult Psychiatric Health Facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies to enhance census development and evaluate results.
  • Maintain a schedule of current account information of primary sources, including skilled nursing facilities, board and care facilities, hospitals/ERs, physicians/licensed practitioners, and allied health professionals.
  • Develop and maintain new account relationships and markets, targeting and creating new strategies for increasing business in highly competitive markets.
  • Establish and sustain strong relationships with key referral sources, including physicians, clinicians, community/professional organizations, and other health/human services providers.
  • Conduct community workshops, events, and facility tours to educate clients, families, community, and other referral sources on programs, services, and amenities provided by Ocean View.
  • Maintain business development referral/admission records and statistics, preparing and presenting industry trends, additional referral opportunities, and obstacles to retention and growth.
  • Represent the facility at civic and professional functions, communicating the mission in all outreach interactions and acting as a liaison between the facility, referral sources, and the public to further the goals and professional image of Ocean View.
  • Collaborate closely with facility discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, and management, as well as provide education to external staff to generate referral sources.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with admissions/intake to manage leads from referral sources, ensuring efficient admissions processes for clients.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Development role in healthcare, preferably in acute psychiatric care.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and well-developed, effective relational skills.
  • Ability to create and develop referral sources.
  • Knowledge of Medicare arena, specifically as related to skilled nursing, board and cares, assisted living, and other Medicare providers.
  • Good understanding of the local market and referral base.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources to cover an expansive service area (Los Angeles and Orange Counties).

Working Conditions:

This is a remote position requiring significant driving both locally and regionally. This position requires the ability to communicate and interact with patients over the telephone and in person who may be suffering from mental health and/or behavioral health conditions. Ability to work under stressful conditions, interactions, and competing priorities is a must.
