About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with commercial clients in assigned business segments and geographic areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Manage Relationships: Identify, develop, and build profitable relationships with prospects and customers consistent with the objectives of the bank.
  • Business Development: Actively work with customers and develop prospects consistent with the credit culture of the bank, proactively identifying and working with customers to ensure the credit quality standards of the bank.
  • Client Solutions: Develop relationships and support other CNB departments and colleagues to provide customers and prospects with the solutions they need.
  • Relationship Planning: Prepare a Relationship Plan and calling schedule for each client or prospect in conjunction with the strategic business development program.
  • Transaction Negotiation: Negotiate transactions, price loan products within targeted rate of return, document and close loan transactions, and ensure conformance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Communication: Represent the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and analyze relationship results and account activities, determine client profitability, and make recommendations regarding accounts to be further developed or eliminated.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of lending experience required, minimum 5 years of credit experience required.
  • Skills: Good understanding of all products and services applicable to target client segment, good knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures, and bank operations policies and procedures.
What We Offer

City National Bank offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting base salary of $122,535 - $208,715 per year, with the potential for bonus and/or commissions. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and a range of perks and incentives.
