Procurement Specialist Job Description

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading energy facility in Fargo, ND to fill a Procurement Specialist role on the 1st shift. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary of $50,000-$80,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Identification: Identify and evaluate suppliers for parts and manufacturing products.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate terms with suppliers, including price, quality of goods, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Create purchase orders, tally supply requests and orders, and analyze invoices for accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with suppliers, project managers, and internal teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Warehouse, and Sales.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing of products and materials.
  • Skills: Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
