Key Responsibilities

Current Openings:

Purchasing Agent
  • Develop and execute supply strategies to ensure continuous improvements in cost, quality, and delivery for new product development initiatives.
  • Manage and update cost assessments and quotations.
  • Assist the finance team with project cost consolidations and various cost types.
  • Oversee requests for quotations (RFQ) to support stakeholders and new product development programs.
  • Ensure early and ongoing supplier engagement in the new product development process.
  • Establish strong, value-driven relationships with suppliers, internal clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide supply forecasts and schedules as necessary.
  • Support planning efforts to reduce inventory and obsolescence.
  • Comprehend and convey non-disclosure agreements, supply, and warranty contracts, including terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, planning, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Lead sourcing efforts for projects as needed.
  • Inform sourcing management of any significant supplier challenges and risks that could impact component supply.
  • Assist in maintaining data accuracy across all relevant systems.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned.
Material Coordinator
  • Develop, manage, and implement the Material Planning function by overseeing inventory levels to meet forecasted turnover rates and scheduling needs.
  • Create and sustain integrated processes among Operations, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing Services, and external suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process, while identifying necessary procedures and tools.
  • Schedule and manage part change notifications (e.g., ECNs) while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Manage overdue orders effectively.
  • Reduce expedited time and freight costs associated with inventory challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with management and key decision-makers across all functional areas to ensure a consistent supply of materials to various locations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate timely material delivery to our warehouses and/or dealers.
  • Engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the supplier's organization, from entry-level customer service representatives to senior managers and executives.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable on invoicing matters as applicable.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to evaluate the economic implications of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit costs.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Background in mechanical or inventory control preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, solid analytical/problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Must be open to travel.
