Position Overview: Senior Accounting Manager

Regal Executive Search is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to take charge of the accounting operations within our management entity.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, along with strong verbal and written communication capabilities, complemented by robust analytical and technical proficiencies.

This role demands a detail-oriented individual who is highly precise and a proactive self-starter, capable of functioning independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Team Structure:
The finance team, which supports the venture capital operations and the associated families of our managing directors, comprises twenty-two professionals, including the Chief Financial Officer and six directors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the quarterly and semi-annual closing of financial records.
2. Review semi-annual consolidated financial statements for the management entity.
3. Analyze, assess, and prepare necessary schedules as part of the closing process.
4. Evaluate asset depreciation and conduct annual assessments of fixed asset write-offs.
5. Scrutinize income allocation and gains/losses.
6. Review placement invoices and manage collections for subsidiary placements.
7. Prepare and update annual and quarterly budgets while managing cash flow.
8. Generate quarterly compliance certificates as mandated by financial institutions.
9. Review personal and family office billbacks to partners along with collections.
10. Approve accounts payable and expense reports.
11. Collaborate with the Tax Manager on quarterly estimated taxes, compliance, and various tax-related initiatives.
12. Ensure compliance and review of property taxes.
13. Prepare information necessary for VAT returns in collaboration with external tax firms.
14. Oversee the Family Office Billback process and review outcomes semi-annually.
15. Assist the CFO and Director of Finance with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting for partnership/LLC tax returns, with a preference for expertise in venture capital management firms or similar entities.
- Proven experience in reviewing journal entries and preparing financial statements.
- Proficiency in Adobe and MS Office products, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated; a self-starter who can lead a team in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Competence in delegation.
