Lead Tax Strategist

We are in search of a qualified and highly driven professional for the role of Senior Tax Manager. This position is integral to our tax operations and will report directly to the Senior Director of Global Tax.

The Senior Tax Manager will thrive in a fast-paced tax landscape, overseeing the execution and completion of all tax compliance responsibilities and initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with various members of the finance team and other departments to support the overall success of Intapp.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Compliance:
    • Oversee the preparation and examination of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure adherence to all relevant tax regulations.
    • Guarantee the timely and precise submission of all tax returns and associated documentation.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliations of the Tax general ledger.
  2. International Tax:
    • Manage compliance and reporting for international tax matters, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and international treaties.
  3. Tax Provision:
    • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions in line with ASC 740 standards.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax positions and disclosures in financial statements.
  4. Indirect Tax:
    • Supervise the management of indirect taxes, such as sales and use tax, VAT/GST, and other transaction-based taxes.
  5. Audit and Risk Management:
    • Establish strong internal controls to mitigate tax risks and fulfill audit requirements.
    • Prepare necessary documentation for SOX compliance and assist with financial statement audits.
  6. Special Projects:
    • Support the preparation of transfer pricing studies and research and development tax initiatives.
    • Engage in ad hoc research and various special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in collaborating with operational and corporate finance teams.
  • Able to foster strong relationships and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dynamic and adaptable team player capable of thriving in a changing environment.
  • Committed to achieving high standards of accuracy and integrity in all tasks.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA, JD, Master's Degree, or equivalent advanced education preferred.
  • Over twelve years of relevant tax experience, including five years in public accounting.
