Lead Tax Strategist

We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated individual to fill the role of Senior Manager, Tax. This position is integral to our finance team and will report directly to the Senior Director of Global Tax.

The Senior Manager, Tax will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced tax environment, overseeing the execution and completion of all tax compliance tasks and projects. This role will collaborate closely with other finance team members and various business functions to contribute to the overall success of Intapp.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Compliance:
    • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
    • Guarantee timely and precise filing of all tax returns and associated documentation.
    • Manage the monthly reconciliations of the Tax general ledger.
  2. International Tax:
    • Administer international tax compliance and reporting, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and international tax treaties.
  3. Tax Provision:
    • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax positions and disclosures in financial statements.
  4. Indirect Tax:
    • Supervise the management of indirect taxes, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, and other transaction-based taxes.
  5. Audit and Risk Management:
    • Establish robust internal controls to mitigate tax risks and support audit requirements.
    • Prepare SOX documentation and assist with financial statement audits.
  6. Special Projects:
    • Support the preparation of transfer pricing and research and development tax studies.
    • Conduct ad hoc research and participate in additional special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with operational and corporate finance personnel.
  • Proven capability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dynamic and adaptable team player who can thrive in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work with integrity and efficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting; CPA, JD, Master's Degree, or equivalent advanced education preferred.
  • Over twelve years of relevant tax experience, including five years in public accounting.
