Job Title: Fluid Power Eastern Sales Manager

An East Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting sales goals in the East territory. This position manages a large geographic territory, working closely with the sales director to identify distribution partners and bring them into the AW-Lake sales channel. The RSM will develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers, resulting in AW-Lake becoming their preferred brand of flow measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain technical proficiency with all AW-Lake products and applications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with production locations to manage orders and logistics.
  • Work with distribution and direct sales to develop relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Maintain standard AW-Lake price and discount levels within the assigned territories.
  • Support regional trade shows and factory training events.
  • Provide direct support for high-profile projects and technical service issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date reporting of sales activities and track large long-term projects.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding industry trends and customers' requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions, both internal and external.
  • Stay current on competitors' offerings and contribute to competitive analysis.
  • Provide meaningful input on the overall company sales strategy, product development, and marketing.

Position Requirements:

  • Travel requirements vary by region and time of year; 30-50% overnight travel is expected.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Possess strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years in outside sales and territory management with 5 plus years of Sensor/Automation experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as a successful Outside sales Territory Manager with a demonstrated level of technical competence.
