Fluid Power Sales Manager

An East Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting sales goals in the East territory. This position manages a large geographic territory, working closely with the sales director to identify distribution partners and bring them into the AW-Lake sales channel. The RSM will develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers, resulting in AW-Lake becoming their preferred brand of flow measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain technical proficiency with all AW-Lake products and applications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with production locations to manage orders and logistics.
- Work with distribution and direct sales to develop relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Maintain standard AW-Lake price and discount levels within the assigned territories.
- Support regional trade shows and factory training events.
- Provide direct support for high-profile projects and technical service issues.
- Maintain up-to-date reporting of sales activities and track large long-term projects.
- Provide feedback to management regarding industry trends and customers' requirements.
- Conduct training sessions, both internal and external.
- Stay current on competitors' offerings and contribute to competitive analysis.
- Provide meaningful input on the overall company sales strategy, product development, and marketing.
Position Requirements:
- Travel requirements vary by region and time of year; 30-50% overnight travel is expected.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- A minimum of 3 years in outside sales and territory management with 5 plus years of Sensor/Automation experience.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years as a successful Outside sales Territory Manager with a demonstrated level of technical competence.
