Fluid Power Sales Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at AW-Lake. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for meeting sales goals in the East territory, managing a large geographic territory, and identifying distribution partners to bring them into the AW-Lake sales channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with production locations to manage orders and logistics to meet customers' needs.
- Work with distribution and direct to develop relationships with current and prospective customers to make AW-Lake their preferred brand of flow measurement.
- Maintain standard AW-Lake price and discount levels within the assigned territories and make suggestions for special offers where necessary to secure highly competitive or strategic business.
- Support regional trade shows within the territory and factory training events as required.
- Provide direct support for high-profile projects and technical service issues as required.
- Maintain up-to-date reporting of sales activities and track/report on large long-term projects.
- Provide feedback to management regarding industry trends and customers' requirements.
- Conduct training sessions, both internal and external.
- Stay current on competitors' offerings and contribute to competitive analysis by product.
- Provide meaningful input on the overall company sales strategy, product development, and marketing.
- Create a territory marketing plan to include maintaining existing business and identifying and developing new business partners and opportunities to meet or exceed financial goals for the year.
- Create and maintain key account plans for the territory to support growth with key partners.
Requirements:
- Travel requirements vary by region and time of year; 30-50% overnight travel is expected (minimum 7-8 days per month in the field, selling). Customers should be visited 1-2 times per year to conduct presentations, sales calls, training, and service with our Distribution.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- A minimum of 3 years in outside sales and territory management with 5 plus years of Sensor/Automation experience.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years as a successful Outside sales Territory Manager with a demonstrated level of technical competence.
