Lunar Rover Systems Engineer

Position Overview:
Barrios Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer - Pressurized Lunar Rover to support critical engineering efforts. This role is integral to our ongoing projects, focusing on structural dynamic analysis within various human spaceflight initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to generate Systems Engineering & Integration deliverables for the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) and Human Surface Mobility (HSM) Program.
- Review and assess engineering documentation, including design reference missions and integration plans.
- Oversee the planning and maintenance of program requirements, including Project Technical Requirements Specification (PTRS) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Utilize systems engineering tools such as DOORS or MagicDraw for requirements management.
- Prepare documentation for system life cycle phases, including System Readiness Review (SRR) and Critical Design Review (CDR).
- Identify and manage risks, developing appropriate risk statements and response strategies.
- Conduct system-level architecture trade studies to influence design and performance outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication with the NASA customer and other contractors.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
This position may be filled at various levels based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience, or a Master's degree with ten to fifteen years of experience may also be considered.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient understanding of systems engineering principles and documentation.
- Experience in developing test campaigns for flight certification.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with space systems requirements documentation and NASA engineering processes.
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to evolving project demands.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a government background investigation.
- Compliance with a drug-free workplace policy is mandatory.
