Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer, Pressurized Lunar Rover

This role typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least five years of experience, although the level of hire may vary depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teammates to produce Systems Engineering & Integration deliverables for NASA projects.
  • Review engineering products and integration plans to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain program requirements documentation.
  • Use requirements management software and systems engineering tools effectively.
  • Prepare materials for key project milestones such as System Readiness Review (SRR) and Critical Design Review (CDR).
  • Identify and address project risks in collaboration with the team.
  • Conduct system architecture trade studies and analyses.
  • Provide regular progress updates and issue reports to the team lead.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and support contractors.
  • Fulfill any other duties as needed.
Requirements

Basic requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices in the space hardware field.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in developing space systems requirements and related documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with space hardware design, assembly, and testing.
  • Familiarity with NASA's Flight Hardware Life Cycle and Engineering processes.
  • Certification in INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional.
  • Understanding of NASA, JSC, and ISS standards, safety practices, and documentation databases.
  • Self-driven individual with exceptional initiative and adaptability.
