At Mb Solutions Inc, we are seeking a talented Systems Engineer - Advanced Concepts to contribute to our Engineering Division.

As a Systems Engineer specializing in Advanced Concepts, your role will involve collaborating with various teams to define the architecture and elements necessary for NASA's future exploration missions, particularly focusing on Lunar and Mars endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Develop innovative concepts for future human space exploration vehicles and missions.
  • Analyze future Lunar mission campaigns, assessing constraints across various space vehicles.
  • Engage in the development of Lunar surface exploration strategies and long-term mission planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine conceptual vehicle designs.
  • Contribute to the definition of architectural frameworks and functional workflows.
  • Assist in the formulation of requirements and their subsequent evaluation.
  • Conduct trade studies and participate in stakeholder review processes.
  • Maintain professional relationships with NASA representatives and other contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

This position is open to candidates at various experience levels.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is typically required.
Preferred Skills:

Applicants should possess at least three of the following skills:
  • Experience in evaluating potential system solutions and establishing frameworks for trade studies.
  • Ability to conduct concept studies and document results effectively.
  • Knowledge of conceptual engineering architecture and analysis for space systems.
  • Experience in early-stage program concept development.
  • Integration of space vehicle systems across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in creating functional block diagrams and allocations.
  • Experience in developing operational concepts for single and multiple vehicle systems.
  • Familiarity with technology roadmap development and infusion planning.
  • Understanding of stakeholder needs and interface definitions.
  • Ability to define mission sequences across various missions.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and documentation practices.
Desirable Experience:
  • Involvement in NASA university programs or student engineering teams.
  • Experience with technology development sponsored by NASA.
  • Familiarity with human space exploration systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical system design principles.
