With the historic achievement of the first commercial lunar landing and several NASA lunar missions underway, we take pride in facilitating our clients and the nation in the journey to return humans to the lunar surface. Our elite team comprises specialists in spacecraft subsystem design, development, testing, on-orbit operations, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the analysis and processing of lunar imagery obtained from the LROC.
- Develop and sustain scripts and tools aimed at automating data processing workflows.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve image data issues.
- Support the creation and enhancement of lunar surface mosaics and cartographic representations.
- Engage in the calibration and validation processes for LROC instruments and data outputs.
- Provide operational assistance during data collection phases.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific presentations and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment as a student at Arizona State University.
- Strong enthusiasm for lunar science, planetary science, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Fundamental understanding of image processing methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software.
- Academic background in astronomy, physics, or engineering.
- Prior experience in a research or laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
