Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Medical Information & Content Development plays a pivotal role in creating scientific exchange materials for field-based US Medical Affairs personnel, including Medical Science Liaisons and Health Outcomes Liaisons, as well as for ad hoc medical meetings and various relevant projects aligned with the Medical Affairs Strategic and Operational Plan.

This position is responsible for the planning and execution of medical advisory boards, which includes the development of necessary materials. Additionally, the Senior Manager will oversee the planning and execution of medical congress exhibits.

Collaboration is key; the Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as Research & Development, US/Global Medical Affairs, and Publications & Scientific Communications, as well as with external experts in Dermatology and Inflammation and Autoimmunity (IAI).

Furthermore, the Senior Manager will assist in the creation of training materials, product dossiers, frequently asked questions (FAQ) documents, and standard response letters as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Develops content for US Medical Affairs initiatives, including agendas, medical presentations, ad hoc clinical engagements, and internal scientific meetings, while supporting cross-functional execution.
  • Collaborates with various partners to create scientific exchange materials for emerging therapeutic areas.
  • Manages medical advisory boards, including identifying external experts, developing meeting content, and executing the advisory board meetings.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to create scientific booth content for medical congresses related to research targets, investigational agents, and clinical study recruitment.
  • Maintains expertise in dermatology and IAI therapeutic areas, encompassing disease states, treatment landscapes, and ongoing research strategies.
  • Conducts medical literature surveillance and provides oversight for US Medical Affairs, ensuring timely communication of pertinent updates.
  • Oversees external vendors involved in scientific content development and advisory boards, participating in the review and selection process.
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other guidance documents to ensure high quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Assists in the development of medical information standard response letters, product dossiers, and FAQ documents as required.
Minimum Requirements

An advanced scientific or clinical degree in the life sciences (e.g., Pharm.D. or Ph.D.) is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Information or Medical Affairs role within a pharmaceutical, medical device, or medical communications company, or equivalent experience.

Experience in creating scientific content, including disease state and product-related presentations, is essential. Familiarity with the management and execution of advisory boards is preferred.

Knowledge of FDA regulations concerning the dissemination of Medical Information and drug promotion is required, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong project management abilities, including planning, prioritizing, and executing multiple projects, are necessary. Experience in IAI, particularly in dermatology, is strongly preferred.

This role may require approximately 15% travel commitments and necessitates on-site work for a minimum of 4 business days per week.
