Job Summary

Citizens Options Unlimited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Culinary Operations to lead our food service team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for implementing the vision and mission for our food service area, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, and driving growth and financial stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide leadership to the Assistant Chef and all kitchen/dining hall staff, focusing on HR, compliance, programmatic, and fiscal areas.
    • Conduct daily meetings with the Senior PC of QA and provide weekly written updates for the Assistant Director.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Analyze trends, metrics, and data to establish measurable outcomes for each area of growth, including vendors, cost of food items, and cost per plate/meal.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the food service area, in partnership with other departments.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with Department of Health, OPWDD, ACA, and other regulatory bodies impacting the food service area.
    • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to drive growth and improve services.
    • Collaborate with other departments to achieve integrated solutions and meet the visions and missions of the organization.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and resolve simple to complex issues in all areas of the kitchen and dining hall.
    • Ensure all budgetary guidelines are implemented and the food service department is fiscally sound.
