Role Summary

The Associate Director of Market Insights and Forecasting will play a crucial role in delivering strategic and actionable market insights by utilizing diverse data sources, alongside proficient market research and analytical skills. This role involves creating and maintaining both short- and long-term forecasts that facilitate informed decision-making across marketing, sales, market access, and other commercial sectors. Responsibilities include conducting primary and secondary research, as well as quantitative data analysis to inform critical business strategies related to marketing, forecasting, reimbursement/access, sales, and lifecycle management. This position will specifically support indications in inflammation and autoimmunity throughout various stages of product launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of demand and shipment forecasts for inflammation and autoimmunity indications in the U.S. market, encompassing both short- and long-term forecasting models.
  • Construct and refine forecasting models by identifying key data and employing statistical analysis.
  • Identify essential forecasting inputs and collaborate cross-functionally to gather necessary information.
  • Analyze and synthesize market data from multiple sources to provide insights on brand and market performance.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively model events that may influence overall sales performance, integrating these insights into forecasts as needed.
  • Develop key performance presentations for executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Strategy, Sales, Market Access, Finance, Business Operations, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, and Global teams to address key business inquiries with timely analytics.
  • Partner with Market Access and Finance to evaluate the effects of payer access changes and contracting on demand forecasts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for various data sets utilized in forecasting and performance evaluations.
  • Manage tracking studies, KPIs, and routine performance assessments for dermatology indications.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in a timely manner.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage requests in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field) is required.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, with significant expertise in business analysis and forecasting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various data sources used in forecasting and performance assessment.
  • Proficient in employing diverse forecasting methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to engage effectively with stakeholders and decision-makers across functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and present to senior management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, SQL, SAS, R, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Experience in dermatology markets is advantageous.
  • Experience in conducting primary research (qualitative or quantitative) is preferred.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.
