Overview:

Position Overview:
In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on the development of System on Chips (SoCs) utilized in Apple's mobile technology.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the integrity of memory interface signals for Apple SoCs, encompassing the entire range from packaging to circuit board.

A solid background in design and modeling of DDR3/4 or LPDDR3/4 interfaces is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
You will engage in the electrical and physical design aspects of memory systems

  • Conduct electrical extraction and validation of packaging and motherboard layouts. Collaborate with circuit and controller teams to enhance memory system architecture.
  • Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) modeling, simulation, and characterization of memory interfaces.
  • Create and implement testing protocols to validate signal and power integrity. Work alongside product and system engineering teams to troubleshoot and enhance product yield.
Qualifications:
We seek candidates who possess a strong understanding of signal and power integrity challenges associated with memory interfaces.

Prior experience in actual product packaging and board design, along with analysis, PI/SI methodology development, and laboratory correlation/validation of simulation outcomes is required.

A robust academic foundation is necessary, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience post-graduation.

Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR), real-time oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers is expected.

A solid grasp of 3D/2D electromagnetic simulation tools and transmission line theory is essential.

Excellent communication skills are a must.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range.

This allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The salary range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with actual pay dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
