Overview:

Position ID:
In this role, you will collaborate with a team dedicated to the development of System on Chips (SoCs) utilized in Apple's mobile technology.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring signal integrity for memory interfaces in Apple SoCs, encompassing the entire range from packaging to circuit board.

Previous design and modeling experience with DDR3/4 or LPDDR3/4 interfaces is essential.
Responsibilities:
You will engage in the electrical and physical design aspects of memory systems.

  • Conduct electrical extraction and validation for package and multi-layer board (MLB).
  • Collaborate with circuit and controller teams to enhance memory system design.
  • Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) modeling, simulation, and characterization for memory interfaces.
  • Create and implement test plans to verify signal and power integrity.
  • Work alongside product engineering and system engineering teams to troubleshoot and enhance product yield.
Key Qualifications:
We seek candidates who possess a strong understanding of signal and power integrity challenges related to memory interfaces.

Prior experience in product package/board design and analysis, development of PI/SI methodologies, and lab correlation/validation of simulation outcomes is crucial.

A solid academic foundation is required, with 5+ years of professional experience post-graduation.

Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR), real-time oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers is important.

Strong knowledge of 3D/2D electromagnetic simulation tools and transmission line theory is expected.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range.

This allows for career progression as you grow within your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are also eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
