Position Overview
As a Signal Integrity Engineer focusing on Memory Interfaces, you will play a crucial role in the development of System on Chips (SoCs) utilized in mobile devices. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the integrity of memory interface signals from the package to the board level.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the electrical and physical design of memory systems.
- Conduct electrical extraction and validation for both package and motherboard layouts.
- Collaborate with circuit and controller teams to enhance memory system designs.
- Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) modeling, simulation, and characterization for memory interfaces.
- Develop and implement test plans to verify signal and power integrity.
- Work alongside product and system engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize product yield.
Minimum Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Proficient understanding of signal and power integrity challenges associated with memory interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with product package and board design, PI/SI methodology development, and lab validation of simulation outcomes.
- Strong academic credentials in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR), real-time oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Solid foundation in 3D/2D electromagnetic simulation tools and transmission line theory.
- Effective communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
At Apple, the base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range. This role offers the potential for growth as you develop in your position. The base pay range for this role is between $53.53 and $88.29 per hour, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement.
