Role Summary:

The Electrical Signal Integrity Engineer will collaborate closely with clients to develop server solutions utilizing AMD server CPUs, providing essential support in signal integrity and hardware-related matters. Responsibilities include delivering training sessions, addressing inquiries, producing technical documentation, reviewing design files, and troubleshooting issues in conjunction with internal teams.

Candidate Profile:

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, debugging methodologies, effective communication skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to assisting clients in problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to ensure the successful implementation of AMD server platforms in the signal integrity and electrical domain.
  • Create and deliver client communications addressing signal integrity and electrical concerns. Co-develop technical materials, including application notes, user guides, samples, and reference designs.
  • Conduct comprehensive platform evaluations, including block-level, schematic, and layout reviews.
  • Engage in collaborative debugging sessions with clients.
  • Manage and resolve customer signal integrity-related inquiries and requests, performing initial triage and troubleshooting for reported issues. Conduct experiments on customer boards and reference designs as necessary, providing effective solutions.
  • Deliver technical training to clients.
  • Engage directly in critical technical discussions, addressing issues, architectural considerations, and performance enhancements with clients and internal teams.
  • Foster seamless collaboration across various domains, including platform and silicon engineering, product management, and field application engineering.
  • Participate in client calls, addressing signal integrity and platform-related inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of proven success in collaborating with clients to develop systems from concept to production.
  • Experience in high-speed I/O board design and/or signal integrity/power integrity simulation is highly desirable.
  • Background in hardware development.
  • In-depth knowledge of x86 processors, DDR5/6, CXL, PCIe, SATA, USB, multiprocessor systems, power management, and system management.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong sense of urgency and drive.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory settings.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
