ROLE SUMMARY:
The Electrical Signal Integrity Engineer will collaborate with clients to design and implement server solutions utilizing AMD server CPUs, offering expertise in signal integrity and hardware support. Responsibilities include conducting training sessions, addressing inquiries, developing technical documentation, reviewing design specifications, and troubleshooting issues in partnership with internal teams.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The ideal candidate is proactive, creative, and thrives in a dynamic environment. They should possess the ability to swiftly evaluate various customer situations to devise effective solutions. Strong analytical capabilities, debugging skills, and excellent communication are essential, along with a genuine passion for assisting clients in overcoming challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage closely with clients to ensure successful integration of AMD server platforms in the signal integrity and electrical domains.
- Create and deliver client communications addressing signal integrity and electrical concerns. Collaborate on technical materials such as application notes, user guides, and reference designs.
- Conduct comprehensive platform assessments, including block-level, schematic, and layout evaluations.
- Participate in collaborative debugging sessions with clients.
- Manage and resolve client signal integrity-related inquiries and requests, performing initial triage and debugging for reported issues. Execute experiments on client hardware and provide actionable solutions.
- Deliver technical training to clients.
- Engage in critical technical discussions, addressing issues, architectural considerations, and performance enhancements with clients and internal teams.
- Work collaboratively across various domains, including platform engineering, silicon engineering, product management, and field application engineering.
- Participate in client meetings, addressing signal integrity and platform-related inquiries.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of proven experience in directly collaborating with clients to develop systems from conception to production.
- Expertise in high-speed I/O board design and/or signal integrity/power integrity simulation is highly desirable.
- Experience in hardware development.
- Strong understanding of x86 processors, DDR5/6, CXL, PCIe, SATA, USB, multiprocessor systems, power management, and system management.
- A collaborative team player with a strong sense of urgency and drive.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory settings.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
