Position Overview
As a Memory Interface Signal Integrity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of System on Chips (SoCs) utilized in cutting-edge mobile devices. Your primary focus will be on ensuring signal integrity for memory interfaces, spanning from the package to the printed circuit board.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the electrical and physical design of memory systems.
- Conduct electrical extraction and validation of packages and multi-layer boards (MLB).
- Collaborate with circuit and controller teams to enhance memory system designs.
- Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) modeling, simulation, and characterization of memory interfaces.
- Develop and implement test plans to validate both signal and power integrity.
- Work alongside product engineering and system engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize product yield.
Minimum Qualifications
We seek candidates who possess:
- A solid understanding of signal and power integrity challenges related to memory interfaces.
- Experience in product package and board design, including PI/SI methodology development and lab validation of simulation outcomes.
- A strong academic background in a relevant technical field.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR), real-time oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong fundamentals in both 3D and 2D electromagnetic simulation tools and transmission line theory.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Educational background of a BS or MS in a technical discipline is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
At Apple, the base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. The base pay for this role is between $53.53 and $88.29 per hour, contingent upon your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
