Job Overview

As a Batch Production Specialist at Meridian Adhesives Group - USA, you will be responsible for the precise compounding of materials in a batch processing setting. This role requires adherence to established protocols and specifications to ensure timely production.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality products as per the production schedule.

  • Fulfill daily production targets by strictly following the outlined production schedule.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on assigned equipment, performing necessary pre-operational, in-process, and post-batch inspections. Promptly report any contamination risks, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to the Production Manager.
  • Prepare for compounding by accurately locating and verifying raw materials and supplies as indicated on the batch ticket. Report any shortages to the Crew Leader or the Materials Department.
  • Ensure product quality by meticulously following batch ticket instructions, processing sequences, and quality control measures.
  • Record raw material usage by documenting consumption on the batch ticket.
  • Log all relevant information and discrepancies in materials, processing steps, and temperature variations on the batch ticket.
  • Prepare and submit marked batch samples to the Quality Control Laboratory as required.
  • Package products according to packaging ticket instructions after batch approval.
  • Manage the reintroduction or remixing of materials into mixers following Quality Control batch ticket guidelines.
Workplace Maintenance
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment by adhering to routine housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure all hoses and plumbing fittings are capped or plugged when not in use.
  • Store all operating supplies, including raw materials and containers, in designated locations before the end of the shift.
  • Remove empty containers and packaging materials before the end of the shift.
  • Keep equipment free from raw material residue and chemicals.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping work areas as needed.
Safety Protocols
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following the established safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure respirator certification is current through required physicals and fit tests.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Participate in physical inventories and cycle counting.
  2. Assist with maintenance tasks as required.
  3. Support shipping duties, including loading and unloading trucks.
  4. Contribute to team efforts by assisting in various areas as needed.
  5. Train designated employees on compounding procedures when necessary.
  6. Engage in safety and incident investigations as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma or G.E.D.
  2. Experience in a related field is preferred.
  3. Forklift operation experience is advantageous.
  4. Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.

Skills

  1. Mechanical aptitude with practical application skills.
  2. Strong analytical abilities.
  3. Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Basic mathematical skills.
  6. Ability to follow directions accurately.

Physical Requirements

  1. Physical work is a primary component of this role.
  2. Routine bending, stooping, and reaching are required.
  3. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
  4. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating tools and machinery.

Working Environment

This position is performed within a manufacturing facility where temperature and noise levels may vary. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals. Safety protocols must be strictly followed to ensure a safe working environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM, Monday to Friday
