Position Overview:

The Opportunity

Fidelity is in search of a dedicated Agile Principal Systems Analyst to become part of a dynamic team focused on developing innovative applications centered around Student Debt. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and shape solutions that fulfill not only functional needs but also performance, scalability, and reliability standards. You will collaborate as part of a high-performing Scrum team, contributing to the evolution of user experiences. Your role will involve taking full ownership of team responsibilities and proactively seeking ways to support the team in achieving its objectives beyond your individual tasks.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, along with over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and designing applications, including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. This role necessitates ongoing collaboration with stakeholders, iterative comprehension of requirements, adherence to Fidelity’s best practices and methodologies, and a thorough understanding of the technology roadmap.
  • Capability to perform root cause analysis and creatively address unique challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in application development on public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL and relational databases, along with experience using ETL tools like Informatica.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery processes and tools (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills to convey software engineering and development concepts effectively.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement intricate solutions, ensuring alignment with documentation standards and understanding of unit and integration testing and deployment scripts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with other developers and team members, including those in distributed locations.
  • Proven experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.

The Student Debt Product Area team operates within the Emerging Technologies Chapter of Workplace Investing. This team is passionate about exploring new technologies and enjoys tackling complex challenges. It is a highly collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and collective growth are encouraged. You will report to a Chapter Leader, whose primary goal is to support your professional development as we strive for enhanced automation and continuous delivery, aiming to provide high-quality products to our clients.
