Job Description

Position Overview

Fidelity TalentSource LLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments running Fidelity's XTRAC workflow solutions with WebSphere, TcServer, and Apache.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop internet-based applications that operate in a client/server environment.
  • Identify departmental needs and provide technical direction to improve processes and techniques using Java, SQL, and scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with systems analysts and software engineers to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities.
  • Develop and oversee software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.
  • Document enterprise best practices and create process automation tools and technologies that drive process improvements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including operation, security, and compliance aspects.
  • Create processes for continuous deployment, including full orchestration of deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of experience as a Principal DevOps Engineer deploying, monitoring, and administering software infrastructure using Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three years of experience as a Principal DevOps Engineer.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting and deploying web application servers into production, including WebLogic, JBOSS, Apache, Tomcat, or Apache HTTPD servers.
  • Establishing infrastructure using AWS services, including EC2, Elastic container services (ECS), IAM, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Automating End-to-End Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including building a CI server using Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, or GIT.
  • Driving microservices builds using Maven, Dockerfile, and Jenkins, and deploying to Kubernetes.
