Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Classification, Pay, & Timesheet Records:
- Enter employee classification, pay, and timesheet data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Train employees on the online timesheet system, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization.
- Audit HR data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Benefits Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, providing clear and concise guidance.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure seamless benefits administration.
- Educate employees on the suite of benefits, promoting informed decision-making.
- Oversee enrollment of new hire benefits, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare the Annual Compensation Report (ACR), providing valuable insights for organizational planning.
- Enter 1095-C information and distribute employees' annual ACA 1095-C forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate campus wellness events, promoting employee well-being and engagement.
- Employee Relations; Training & Development; Performance Reviews:
- Assist the HR Director with conducting investigations for workplace issues, ensuring fair and impartial processes.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for supervisors, promoting effective leadership and management skills.
- Manage employee performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Oversee employee training using the online training portal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Workers Compensation:
- Communicate with employees and supervisors regarding work-related injuries and illnesses, providing guidance and support throughout the claim process.
- Collaborate with Campus Safety to review injury reports, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
- Complete DWC-1 forms with employees and submit claim information to the WC insurance provider, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all WC claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Human Resources Department Support:
- Assist in the overall workflow of the HR department, providing backup coverage for new hire onboarding and exits.
- Implement workflow procedures based on the direction of the HR Director, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of related experience and/or training, with a proven track record of providing strategic HR support and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with diplomacy and succinctness. They will also demonstrate strong customer service orientation, with excellent follow-up and relational savvy.
