Human Resources Specialist

Overview:
The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive support for various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee benefits. This position collaborates closely with both regional and corporate leadership to execute HR initiatives that align with organizational goals. As an HR Coordinator, you will also champion cultural initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and fostering a cohesive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate onboarding processes and assist with new employee orientation to promote a positive organizational culture.
- Support the administration of HR programs, including performance management, benefits enrollment, and training initiatives.
- Oversee offboarding procedures.
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure accurate data entry.
- Ensure compliance with local Form I-9 regulations.
- Manage recruitment activities, including job postings and interview coordination.
- Conduct annual open enrollment meetings for employee benefits.
- Stay informed about legal regulations related to human resources, including federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Foster positive employee relations and provide guidance to management on issue resolution.
- Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs efficiently.
- Coordinate special projects as required.
- Attend business meetings and training sessions as necessary.
- Serve as the primary contact for HR-related inquiries, including employee benefits and payroll.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing HR processes and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with training requirements related to safety and HR certifications.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources.
- Proficient in technology and capable of utilizing it effectively in HR processes.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.
- Capacity to interact with staff at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective problem resolution.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS is a plus.
