Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will provide support to the Human Resources Department at InsideHigherEd, a leading education technology company. This role will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, including employee classification, pay, and timesheet records, benefits coordination, employee relations, training and development, performance reviews, and workers' compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter employee classification, pay, and timesheet data, and train employees on how to use the online timesheet system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits questions, collaborate with insurance providers, and educate employees on the suite of benefits.
- Oversee enrollment of new hire benefits, ensure accurate employee benefit deductions, and prepare the Annual Compensation Report (ACR).
- Enter 1095-C information and distribute employees' annual ACA 1095-C forms, coordinate campus wellness events, and assist the HR Director with conducting investigations for workplace issues.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for supervisors, manage employee performance reviews, and oversee employee training using the online training portal.
- Communicate with employees, supervisors, doctors, and worker's compensation insurance on prescribed treatment plans and restrictions, and maintain accurate and confidential records of all WC claims.
- Assist in the overall workflow of the Human Resources department, provide backup coverage for new hire onboarding & exits, and implement workflow procedures based on the direction of the Human Resources Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
- Five years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with high integrity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with diplomacy and succinctness.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-up and relational savvy.
- Exemplify Christian philosophy of the Concordia University mission statement in all aspects of day-to-day duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.
