Job Summary

As a key member of the Marriott International Inc. team, the Strategic Business Leader will be responsible for driving the overall success of the organization. This includes overseeing all aspects of the operation, from guest and employee satisfaction to financial performance and sales generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share.
  • Lead the property leadership team in executing business plans and ensuring alignment with Marriott brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to develop revenue-generating strategies and identify new business leads.
  • Manage talent and organizational capability, including creating a high-performance Executive Committee and developing learning and development opportunities for employees.
  • Serve as a brand champion, communicating a clear and consistent message regarding property and Marriott brand goals to employees, leadership team, and owners.
  • Review business-related data to proactively address changing market conditions and ensure property operations are within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and Marriott brand product and service standards.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years' experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years' experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
  • Preferred: General Manager experience in limited or full-service property.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
  • Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
Benefits

Marriott International Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $233,000 to $292,000 annually, as well as an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.
