The Account Manager/Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing company profitability by nurturing existing client relationships and acquiring new customers. This role involves promoting products and delivering technical support within a designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential customers, providing quotes and closing sales.
  • Boost sales and average order value through cross-selling, up-selling, and introducing promotional items and new products.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while delivering outstanding service to clients.
  • Collaborate with management to refine territory plans and establish sales objectives.
  • Assess sales potential for both new and existing clients through research and observation.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to prospective and current customers.
  • Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products.
  • Expand the customer base by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and foster strong relationships.
  • Stay informed about new product developments to improve sales techniques and personal expertise.
  • Assist clients with inquiries and resolve any issues they may encounter.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to provide client services.
  • Regularly gather competitive and market intelligence.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure profitability for both the company and customers.
  • Prepare and present detailed quotations.
  • Communicate significant fluctuations in product demand to management.
  • Assist in conducting physical inventory counts as scheduled.
  • Monitor the credit status of customers.
  • Stay updated on local regulations and consumer trends.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Enhance product and industry knowledge through continuous learning opportunities.
  • Utilize contact management and distribution software effectively.
  • Engage in industry associations and local organizations.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with product/application experience strongly preferred.
