About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Executive to join our team at Farmer Brothers. As a Key Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in acquiring national accounts and large regional accounts across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to your assigned sales channel, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in assigned sales channel to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with national clients to secure long-term business partnerships.
  • Market Research: Identify and target potential new national accounts through market research and strategic planning.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement within national accounts.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services to national accounts.
  • Expert Consultation: Provide expert advice to national accounts on product selection, usage, and benefits to enhance customer experience.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote brand visibility and forge new business relationships.
Requirements
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and account management.
  • Channel Expertise: In-depth understanding of the restaurant, convenience store, hospitality, and education industries.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving sales targets of $2.5M+ and driving revenue growth through strategic account acquisition.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the coffee and/or food and beverage industry.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
