Position Overview

This role is integral to fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement at Ryder, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency through innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive data collection and statistical analysis to identify process inefficiencies.
  • Map and document operational workflows, pinpointing areas for enhancement.
  • Develop and execute a robust Continuous Improvement strategy aimed at maximizing value for clients.
  • Implement process enhancement initiatives that yield measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Oversee and finalize Continuous Improvement and engineering projects that drive positive business outcomes.
  • Engage with operations management and clients to ensure alignment and support for ongoing initiatives.
Essential Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering professional relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a focus on time management and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau, and familiarity with database programming.
  • A solid understanding of Lean methodologies and engineering principles related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing is required. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for some experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a salary range between $90,000 and $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, eligible candidates may receive bonuses and participate in a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
