Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the development and refinement of 2D drawings and schematics utilizing AutoCAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

2. Collaborate with engineering teams to convert conceptual designs into detailed 3D models and assemblies through AutoCAD 3D modeling tools.

3. Support the planning and execution of layout designs for manufacturing facilities, integrating both 2D and 3D CAD representations for optimal equipment placement and workflow.

4. Participate in time and motion studies to evaluate manufacturing processes and pinpoint areas for efficiency enhancements.

5. Engage in project teams dedicated to continuous improvement, providing technical insights and contributing innovative ideas for process enhancement.

6. Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including reports, presentations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) pertinent to industrial engineering projects.

7. Learn and implement best practices for AutoCAD software, focusing on file management, layer organization, and dimensioning techniques.

8. Work alongside cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to AutoCAD drawings, models, and simulations.

9. Support the incorporation of AutoCAD technologies into manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly operations.

10. Participate in training sessions and workshops to advance your skills in industrial engineering principles and AutoCAD software.


Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who are ambitious and eager to learn. You should possess:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with capabilities in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- A keen eye for detail and precision in technical drawings and models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for developing innovative solutions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, enabling collaboration with colleagues across various levels.
- A self-driven attitude with a passion for applying engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Previous internship or coursework experience in industrial engineering or CAD design is advantageous but not mandatory.

Internship Criteria:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Degree program (Industrial or Mechanical) and have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher is required.

This co-op position may involve working up to 40 hours per week during the designated term. Candidates should be receiving academic credit for their participation in this co-op program.
