About You: We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is passionate about immigration law. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others will be essential in this role.

Job Summary: As a Paralegal Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating with attorneys to prepare and file immigration documents. You will also be involved in client communication, case management, and research. Your comprehensive knowledge of immigration law and procedures will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of a senior paralegal or attorney, you will lead email and phone client communications.
  • You will provide guidance to clients on proprietary systems and case processing.
  • You will maintain accurate records and update client services rendered.
  • You will demonstrate increasing levels of independence in case handling and advance your knowledge of immigration law.
  • You will process complex corporate immigration cases and evaluate cases for potential issues.
  • You will prepare forms, letters, and documents for attorney review and adapt tools and resources for casework.
  • You will manage the status of filed applications and petitions and finalize documents after attorney review.
  • You will utilize document and data management systems to prepare and record client casework.
  • You will prepare internal caseload reports for management.
  • You will share process flow with clients and identify problematic cases for discussion with attorneys.
  • You will perform research to obtain information on companies, industries, and government agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a law-related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in U.S. corporate immigration.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch errors.
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to prioritize cases and tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and proprietary software.

Benefits: BAL offers a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $65,900, a discretionary annual bonus, and a supportive team-oriented culture. We also offer an outstanding benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, sick time, unlimited vacation, and 401(k) with company match.
