SAIC is seeking a National Policy Integration Specialist.

This role will contribute to the Organizational and Management Policy Directorate within the Office of the Director of Administration and Management/Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD).

The selected candidate will assist in monitoring, supporting, and evaluating strategic initiatives and documents, as well as facilitating senior leadership decision-making processes, implementing organizational changes, and embedding management reforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the tracking, execution, and reporting of various governance forums, including the Secretary of Defense Large Group, Deputy's Management Action Group (DMAG), Deputy's Workforce Council (DWC), and the Climate Working Group (CWG).
  • Serve as the primary staffing element for governance processes led by the Secretary and Deputy Secretary, providing administrative support, meeting operations assistance, and integrating necessary analytical support.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing materials for senior leadership decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research and analyze mission-related issues.
  • Engage and cultivate relationships with various DoD Components to gather information on the status of strategic initiatives, compile and analyze data, and support briefing and task development.
  • Prepare briefings on significant findings related to office initiatives and proposals.
  • Utilize, configure, and maintain knowledge management and decision support tools, particularly MS SharePoint, to track strategic actions and forums.
  • Synthesize complex information rapidly for senior leader decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, National Security Affairs, International Relations, International Economics, or a related field with three (3) years of experience; or a Master's degree with one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense.
  • Ability to conduct thorough analysis with minimal oversight from senior management and present complex concepts in straightforward terms.
  • Exceptional communication skills and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Service- and/or OSD-level strategy, policy, governance, or resource allocation processes through previous government, military, or private sector roles.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and common office software applications.
  • Background in utilizing various knowledge management and collaborative tools, including MS SharePoint.

Clearance Requirements:

Secret clearance is required to start; the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is necessary to maintain employment.

US citizenship is mandatory.
