About the Joint Office of the Secretary of Defense
The Joint Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division, offers expert support services to a diverse clientele across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian sectors, and international markets. Our division provides a comprehensive range of analytical and programmatic capabilities, empowering our clients to make informed decisions regarding their most pressing issues.
Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG)
Within the JOID, the Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) plays a crucial role in delivering analytical, technical, and program support aimed at promoting, developing, and safeguarding the U.S. industrial base. Our support extends across the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other governmental agencies, ensuring critical decision support for national security leaders. We facilitate policy decisions, enable the execution of comprehensive strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of implementation efforts. Our team comprises economic and national security professionals dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the nation’s most urgent security challenges.
Position Responsibilities
The National Programs and Policy Support Officer will play a vital role in assisting the OUSD (I&S)'s National Programs and Policy Support Directorate. This position entails:
- Providing oversight, governance, and integration for national programs.
- Applying technical expertise to conduct research and analysis, offering recommendations for intelligence-related activities aligned with the National Defense Strategy and the Secretary of Defense's priorities.
- Coordinating and synchronizing special access capabilities and sensitive activities to enhance operational integration across the DoD, Intelligence Community, and broader Federal interagency enterprise.
- Preparing comprehensive reports, briefings, senior-level correspondence, and staff action packages to support OUSD (I&S) requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting sensitive activities and national security requirements within the DoD or Intelligence Community.
- Active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
Desired:
- Master's Degree
- Experience in supporting OUSD (I&S)
