Position Overview

AssuredPartners West Region is seeking a Regional Claims Operations Supervisor to oversee property and casualty claims management. The Supervisor evaluates claims information for clients, adjusters, and Producers.

This position provides insights on claims status, reserves, potential resolutions, and carrier performance, aiming to assist clients in minimizing claims exposure. Additionally, the Supervisor addresses inquiries from Producers on behalf of clients concerning state-specific workers' compensation regulations. This role also involves supervising departmental staff.

Key Responsibilities

Note: Responsibilities may vary based on local office workflows.

  • Independently manages claims for designated accounts, including complex issues. Reviews insurance claim documentation for thoroughness and updates reporting information.
  • Collaborates closely with clients, account executives, producers, managers, and insurance carriers.
  • Conducts claims reviews and stewardship meetings with adjusters, legal counsel, and/or Producers.
  • Remains informed on property and casualty litigation, regulatory changes, and laws to effectively address inquiries during claims reviews.
  • Supervises the claims team and oversees daily operations. Monitors caseloads, audits claim files per established procedures, and ensures adherence to client-specific handling instructions.
  • Responds to client and internal communications to gather claims updates and information.
  • Works in tandem with Producers to support sales and renewal initiatives.
  • Prepares client-specific reports to track claims issues.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Travel requirements are approximately 35% for this role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-7 years of claims experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in technology; capable of learning various systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and EPIC Agency Management software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of claim coverages, processing, policy construction, and the insurance sector.
  • Valid Adjuster and Property and Casualty Agent license is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities; adept at identifying and resolving issues while gathering and analyzing information.
