The Beverage Operations Supervisor must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. This role includes collaboration with the Catering Manager and Operations Manager on various projects, including training initiatives and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the efficient serving of meals and beverages to guests.
  • Ensure compliance with age verification for alcohol service by checking IDs.
  • Assist in taking guest orders and communicating them to the kitchen using the P.O.S. system.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to additional requests promptly.
  • Calculate meal costs and present checks to guests, handling payments and providing change as needed.
  • Recommend menu items and explain preparation methods to guests.
  • Supervise the setup of event spaces.
  • Maintain health, sanitation, and safety standards in all work areas.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and operational before events.
  • Identify and manage situations involving guests who may be intoxicated.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize strong Human Resources skills in employee relations, including coaching and counseling.
  • Support management with training, inventory, and special event projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced food service or catering environment, or relevant educational background.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with employees, management, and guests.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative, event-driven atmosphere.
  • Possession of a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit as required.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.

This position requires a commitment to work during scheduled events and may include additional catering opportunities based on availability.
