Position Overview


WSP is actively seeking a full-time Vice President of Environmental Solutions to oversee our projects related to contaminated land, remediation, and environmental compliance.

This role is integral to our operations and involves collaboration with our Site Assessment & Restoration Earth & Environment Team, contributing to a dynamic organization that fulfills client objectives and resolves their challenges.


In this capacity, you will facilitate our project execution and expansion in remediation and related sectors, working closely with a team of scientists and engineers across various locations.


Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction and execution on a team delivering project and client management services for site investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and construction management for both private and public sector clients.


Your Contributions

• Deliver technical guidance and oversight while mentoring junior staff on site investigation and remediation projects.
• Engage in project management and maintain client relationships.
• Conduct assessments of contaminated land sites.
• Characterize hazardous waste sites.
• Prepare Feasibility Studies in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Manage and execute remedial design under applicable cleanup programs.
• Oversee the design, installation, and operation of treatment systems for site remediation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory permitting and environmental standards.
• Monitor performance and report on permit compliance.
• Complete assigned tasks within budget and on schedule, adhering to WSP's project management guidelines.
• Contribute to proposal writing and foster client relationships to ensure successful project delivery and repeat business.


Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

Required:
• B.S. in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist registration in the relevant state.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental remediation projects.
• Extensive experience in planning and executing investigation and remediation programs for a diverse clientele.
• Proven ability to manage staff and support growth in the environmental sector.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.
• In-depth technical knowledge and a commitment to excellence.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulatory frameworks.
• Must successfully complete a motor vehicle screening.
• Limited travel and occasional fieldwork may be required.
Preferred:
• Experience in identifying and leading project pursuits.
• Background in site investigation and remediation.
• Proven experience in mentoring junior staff.
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Familiarity with evaluating and designing treatment systems for remediation.
• Strong knowledge of chemistry and process engineering in environmental design.
• Experience in construction management.
