Position Summary

WSP is actively seeking a full-time Vice President of Environmental Solutions to lead our initiatives in contaminated land management, remediation, and environmental compliance. This role is integral to our expanding organization, focusing on achieving client objectives and addressing their challenges.

In this capacity, you will play a pivotal role in driving project delivery and fostering growth in remediation and related sectors. You will collaborate closely with a team of scientists and engineers across various locations. The ideal candidate will significantly contribute to both strategic planning and execution, providing project and client management services for site investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and construction management for a diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff on site investigation and remediation projects.
  • Engage in project management and maintain client relationships.
  • Conduct assessments of contaminated land sites.
  • Characterize hazardous waste sites.
  • Prepare feasibility studies in accordance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee remedial design and implementation.
  • Manage regulatory permitting and ensure environmental compliance.
  • Monitor performance and report on compliance with permits.
  • Complete assigned tasks within budget and timelines, adhering to project management standards.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and cultivate client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as necessary to meet business needs.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist registration in the relevant state.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental remediation.
  • Extensive experience in planning and executing investigation and remediation programs.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and support growth in the environmental sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong technical acumen and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state regulatory frameworks.
  • Must pass the company's motor vehicle screening.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in identifying and pursuing project opportunities.
  • Background in site investigation and remediation.
  • Proven track record in mentoring junior staff.
  • Certification in OSHA HAZWOPER.
  • Experience in evaluating and designing remediation systems.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and process engineering related to environmental remediation.
  • Experience in construction management.
