Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team at the VCU School of Medicine. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day management of research portfolios and programs for a central office or one or more departments, centers, or business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks of the award, including communications between investigators, stakeholders, NIH partners, and other partners.
  • Coordinate the Pilot Program, including application cycles, budget management, and organizing annual meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for the pilot program activities, including managing applications, review committees, and awardee support.
  • Schedule team meetings, facilitate meetings, and record minutes.
  • Prepare annual progress reports for NIH and plan and execute annual conferences.
  • Coordinate application and award processes for the Pilot Program with the Director.
  • Prepare and disseminate marketing materials for the award activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent and 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in past experiences or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
  • Experience with application and review processes, conference/event planning, and budget management.
