Overview:

A prominent community health organization is in search of a Vice President of Human Resources to strategically oversee and enhance the operations of the Human Resources Department and its personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the formulation and execution of comprehensive personnel and supervisory policies across the organization.
  • Oversee Labor Relations, including the establishment and enforcement of disciplinary policies and ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards.
  • Ensure that the authority exercised by directors regarding staffing decisions is appropriate and in line with organizational policies.
  • Manage and monitor the departmental budget effectively.
  • Facilitate collaboration with various departmental offices and committees to address human resource administration and operational matters.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide strategic guidance and counsel to agency leadership on initiatives, process enhancements, and administrative matters.
  • Work closely with the executive team to analyze research findings, propose policy directions, and offer recommendations based on diverse input.
  • Develop a comprehensive training and organizational development strategy to address the personal and professional growth needs of employees.
  • Oversee compensation structures to ensure adherence to regulations and competitive salary benchmarks.
  • Assess and refine procedures and technological solutions to enhance human resources data management.
  • Recommend and uphold an organizational framework and staffing levels to achieve the organization’s objectives.
  • Establish and implement both short-term and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of human resources management, including compliance issues, agency regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in human resources at a professional level, preferably in a social services or non-profit context.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations.
