Job Summary

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President/CEO. This role is responsible for shaping and driving the organization's human capital strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on all HR-related matters.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain high-quality talent.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization, ensuring that policies, practices, and programs are inclusive and equitable.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment through effective employee relations strategies.
  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent while ensuring internal equity.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies in a nonprofit or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
